Description: on Wednesday we did athletics and I liked the high jump and the hurdles I was not very good at it but it was still fun my mum came to watch we also got free sausage sizzles we got very tired after we did our running.

    • What was the most enjoyable part of athletics for you? Why?the high jump because I think I am a bit good at it.

    • What are you really proud of? Why? I am proud giving it a go even If I did not come 1st 2nd or 3rd

    • What was the most challenging part? Why? It was the running because I am not fast at it and I lose my breath a bit.

Te reo

Description: in e Te REO we have been making movies for market day and we wanted to speak in Maori so we looked up on the computer things in Maori and we learnt how to say Hello how are you what are you selling and Christmas decorations here is my video.

Evaluation: I think I did well at pronouncing the words and I need to work on getting it done in time.

writing time

Description: in writing we could write about any thing and Naomi and I choose to do a story about some tuning that is not real and I have chosen to do a magic pen and she choose a lucky pencil. we made a poster a story and a movie about it. Here they are.

Book buddies

Description: We have been doing book buddies and I am with Naomi we liked to read the book series Tom Gates we made a book mark about it and we are going to start to make a board game I really enjoy book buddies.

market day

Description: we have been doing prep which is market day for a couple of weeks and kiana,Naomi and I have been making Christmas decorations and we sold out in the first half an hour we really enjoyed market day because you learn how to cont money and to collaborate with other people and I love making stuff so it was especially fun for me. here is the slide we made about market day.

taking risks

Description: In the past two weeks we have been working with Nic Elly Troy and the teachers from Ashurst about taking risks. to manage risks we created an action plan to make it achieveabil. after we learnt about what taking risks mean we did the risk here is a photo of my group.

T3 E T Reo post

Description: For E T Reo we have been making a whakatauki. a whakatauki is a proverb or a peace of wisdom. our whakatauki is... He aha Te mea nui o Te ao? He tangata! He tangata! He tangata! in English it says... what is the most important thing in the world? The people! The people! The people! we made our own people and whakatauki to stick on the wall for people to look at. Book buddy's

Description: in poutama we have book buddies and that is when we have a buddy and we get the some book and we pick how many chapters or pages we will read each night. My book buddy I'd maya and we have the book called Gorge's Marvelous Medicine and it is a really cool book. We read one chapter a night I am up to chapter five. girls club

Description: In Girls Club we have been performing plays. We were in two groups. One group did the play called The Red Hen and the Sea Crocodiles. Yassmine, Zoey, Kayla, Phoebe and Kiana performed this play. The other group performed Anything is Better. Naomi, Azahra, Tayla and Rebekah were in this group. 

Our goal was to make our voices sound like the real characters and to be reedy to talk when we are meant to.
Reflection on our goal: I think we did really well and we did good work on talking when we were meant to but we need to work on make our voices sound like the real character.

feedback: I am the same as you on you talking.
Feedforward:next time you could have a louder voice.  

Evaluation: next time I think I could do better at sounding like my character but I think I did pretty well.

Discovery time 2

Description: today for discovery time I did sewing and it was really fun I know how to sew because I see my grandma doing it so I copy her and if I need help she will help me so I learn. I think sewing is a great opportunity for people to learn to have patience. In sewing I made two things the first thing I made was a pillow and it is really cool but I am going to add some more details to it. The second thing I made was a little bag I did not get to finish it but I grabbed some more stuff to finish it off at home after school. Sewing is fun to do because if you see someone that does it perfect and yours is not like that it doesn't mean that you have done it wrong you have just done it deferently because if you have everything like everyone else everything would be boring in life. So no mater what you do it will always be the way you did it on your one. So give everything a go and do not give up try your best.

Monday discovery time

Description: on Monday we get to do discovery time. Discovery time is when you have a list of things and then you get to go and discover things. I like doing discovery time it is really fun we get to explore different things. Before we started Elly made a word and we had to show it in discovery time the word was panekietanga witch is the Maori word for excellence. The first thing I did was made some gloop when you put your hand in the gloop it fells hard and then it goes sloppy I like that felling it is really squishes. the gloop is extremely hard to get of your hands because it starts to dry. There was other things that you could do like going on a pogo stick stilts,finger knitting,painting,imagines and lots of other things. The next thing I did was painting me and Naomi made a really cool painting together. our painting is showing the Maori word for excellence. each class in that time had to do coach me if you can. then we got to come back inside and do some more Descovery and that is what we do on a Monday morning.

SLC reflection

description:I liked doing my student led conference I think it went really well I was so excited but I wasn't that nervous. My teacher Nic said that i was doing really well in class I just need to work on things like not talking when I shouldn't be.

1) How do you think you did on your SLC? What was the highlight?
I think I did well and I didn't say and to much. My highlight was getting my report and it being good.

2) What did you do differently to make your SLC stand out?
I didn't talk like a robot and I made my voice sound interesting and I think it was.

3) How will you make your Home Led Conference in Term 3 be awesome? What things might you do to make it awesome?
I can talk about how we do the posts and what we do at school. I could make a drink for my mum.

Te Reo

Description:on Monday's we do Te Reo when the people that do kapahaka go to kapahaka and the people that don't they do Te Reo.  For Te Reo you could make a game board if you wanted so harriet,Naomi and I made one we haven't finished it yet. We are trying to make it a little bit hard so it is challenging. And we are teaching Maori and the name of the game is called question time!

Description: we are doing science with Troy and me and my friend Naomi made a video of us doing the experiment. Our experiment is how to make fog and we choose making fog because it sounds interesting to us. Here is how to make fog.

Big idea:I  liked doing my experiment it was fun and I learnt that when hot water and ice collie it makes fog.

Sports start

Description: in sports start we learnt the game gate ways and it is a really fun game to play.  I made a video to show how to play the game gate ways. I like the game but it is a bit easy but at first it is challenging.
Big idea:how you play is you get some cones and you get something to throw... one person stands on one side and the other stands on the other side and you throw the ball and if you drop it the other persons is the winner and you play the game all over again.

Feedback:I think you did pretty well on the post 
Feedforward:I think that the description could be a bit longer and by the way we are not doing big idea

Evaluation:I think I need to work on my catching because I am not that good at it.

Girls club

Description:every afternoon me and some other people go to the library to do girls club and what we do is we do some reading in a group. I like doing girls club because we sometimes get to do poems.

Big idea:I am glad that I am in girls club because we get to read some really fun books.

Fraction's with Elly

Description:in maths we like to do fractions what I did to find out is i got one of the fractions and repeated in are until I new how manny there was. I think fractions are a bit hard but if I practice I will get better. This is a pitcher of my work.

 Description: in spelling  what we have to do is we had a sheet of paper and the teacher would say a word and we had to write it down on the sheet. We had to write three hundred words but not all on the same day. I got most of my words correct. But I think I need some more practice.

A day and a life for a horse camp story

I munch on hay and slurp on water. I gallop around and Humans ride me it is very exhausting. At least that is what people think… Well they are completely wrong. I do so much more so here is my story. I see lots of humans staring at me oh and my name is Minnie.

All these people start to pat me and then “click” I here my saddle and someone jumps up on me then off we go. We galloped around the black tyres and get a drink I am extremely thirsty so I have 5 slurps of water “ Ahhh.”

When I am going back to the yard I accidently start to pee… “Piss”Ops wasn't me. After that I have a bundle of hay now I can rest... but oh I fell somebody perch on my back here it goes all over again.

When another human comes over to me the human is big she is about to sit on me… What if I fall over. Ahhh I'm going to fall… No not really I'm just joking ok let's go. And that is my story.

Camp diaries 2016

Description: we went to camp and it was fun. There were ten activites and they included horse riding, kayaking and rafts. We slept is cabins and there were bunks. I slept on the top bunk next to Harriet and under me was Hannah g. Our era was called poplar I was in cabin 6 and activity group 3.

One word art

Description: we wanted to have a one word for 2016 and my one word is sportsmanship. So what we did was make a sign. First we wrote our word and then we Coloured it in. We also took a picture of our selfs with our hands apart.when we had finished our sign we glued it on to our picture.that is how we made our one word art. I chose sportsmanship because when we have to do stuff together we always get in a fight that's why I chose sportsmanship as my one word for 2016.

Evaluation:the easyist part was the colouring in but it took a long time. The hardist part was drawing the word because it is hard to do the S's. I think I need to work on making the words stand out but I think I did a good job.

Types of listening

Description: we made a movie all about listening and ther are three types of listening.1busy listening
2 me too listening and 3 active listening. Busy listening is when you are not trying hard to listen to the other person or people. Me to listening is when you but in and start talking about what you did and start saying me too. Active listening is when you talk if the other person is asking you somthing.

Big idea:we have been learning about listening and Ther are three tips of listening.

Treaty of Waitangi

Description: in week 2 and 3 we have been doing a video about Waitangi Day and the treaty. We have made a video about Waitangi. The treaty is a special legal document that important people representing the Queen of the England and the Maori chefs singed. The pitcher down below is about how much we new about Waitangi Day and the won I circled was multi.

Big idea: we were learning about Waitangi Day and the treaty we made a movie in a group about Waitangi. It was really fun and we all got a turn at being in the video.
