Types of listening

Description: we made a movie all about listening and ther are three types of listening.1busy listening

2 me too listening and 3 active listening. Busy listening is when you are not trying hard to listen to the other person or people. Me to listening is when you but in and start talking about what you did and start saying me too. Active listening is when you talk if the other person is asking you somthing.

 

Big idea:we have been learning about listening and Ther are three tips of listening.

Treaty of Waitangi

Description: in week 2 and 3 we have been doing a video about Waitangi Day and the treaty. We have made a video about Waitangi. The treaty is a special legal document that important people representing the Queen of the England and the Maori chefs singed. The pitcher down below is about how much we new about Waitangi Day and the won I circled was multi.

Big idea: we were learning about Waitangi Day and the treaty we made a movie in a group about Waitangi. It was really fun and we all got a turn at being in the video.

Evaluation:I think I need to work on going a bit faster and not mucking around and I also think I did a good job.

Waitingi day

Description: at school we are doing questions about waitingi day we had to do open questions which means a question that you don't say yes or no to you say more then that. Here are my questions.

One word 2016

Discription:For 2016 we had to chose our 1 word for the year and mine is sportsmanship I choose sportsmanship because last year when I played netball out team was all ways arguing with each other and never showed sportsmanship that's why i am going to.

Inquiry

Discription: Every Thursday all the seniors do inquiry. Inquiry is when you go around classes and do stuff and then you get put in groups and you stay in those groups. I am in joys group and we do gardening and science. Here is some of the gardening we did. hope you enjoy. Kayla

-What did you think was going to be easy but took longer than you thought? Pulling all the weds out of the garden to make it look more exciting and nice.

Hi and this is the book that I am reading and here Is some questions I have answered.

In your own words Describe madam spry... She is indervigiul and special.

What could you ask about The story? why is she called madam spry instead of madam spy.

How is Hugo related to the story? He helps madam spry with the missions.

Based on what you know, how would you explain mr mustard. He is scary and likes to scar kids.

Book bash 2015

Description:term 4 has just started and we do reading a bit different now. We have been put in reading groups and I am in madam spry. We got in the groups by picking three books and the teachers chose 

one out of those three and put me it madam spry. So that is how I am in madam spry.

.What made you choose this book?The title and the first page as soon as I read the first page it was so interesting.

.What appeals to you?on the front cover she looks like she is a spy and it looks interesting.

.What hooked you in?The blurb and the title.

1. Title - "Madam spry and the blue Dimond" sounds like an interesting story. I don't know what the story is about but I will find out when I read it. Why is it called madam spry instead of madam spy?

Cover design - I think the illustrations look quite fun. I wonder why there is a police looking up at her? And how did she get on the roof and why is she on the roof.

Blurb - when she got a letter it said there is an emergency and come quick, that really hooked me in! I can't wait to read some more. Once I got a letter from my grandma but it wasn't an emergency.

Predictions - I think the story is set in a small city. I think that the blue Dimond has been stolen bye someone and madam spry is helping too catch the theft and maybe the police is helping her I don't know the theft is yet but I will find out.
